MNA, FEI & Thermo Fisher Scientific OPEN HOUSE

Are you interested in keeping current on the latest in Field Emission Electron Microscopes and Microanalysis Capabilities?  

Reservations are now being accepted November 8 – 12 for a demonstration of the FEI Nova NanoSEM 230 Field Emission System coupled with the new Thermo Fisher Scientific QuasOr EBSD system, the MagnaRay WDS along with the NORAN System 7 EDS analyzer.

This is an Open House event hosted by FEI and Thermo Fisher Scientific at the Molecular and Nano Archaeology Laboratory of the UCLA Department of Materials Science & Engineering. 

FEI will have an Applications Specialist on-site on Nov. 8 - 9, 2010 (Monday and Tuesday) from 8am to 5pm. Thermo Fisher Scientific will have an Applications Specialist on-site on Nov. 8 - 12, (Mon – Fri morning). 

For live demonstrations of the system or to bring your samples for evaluation, please contact Dr. Sergey Prikhodko (sergey@seas.ucla.edu) to make a reservation. 

Also, during the same week and in conjunction with the Open House Day, The Southern California Society for Microscopy and Microanalysis will have its meeting at CNSI on UCLA campus. Please note that the “SEM Best Image MNA Award” and our newly established “FEI Tony Award” will be announced at the Southern California Society for Microscopy Meeting.
