One of our Archaeology graduate students, John "Mac" Marston, recently won two awards for his conference papers. The first was the Graduate Student Paper Award at the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Archaeological Institute of America for a paper entitled "Agricultural Strategies and Risk Management at Gordion." The second award was the Student Paper Award for the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Society for American Archaeology for a paper entitled "Identifying Agricultural Risk Management Using Paleoethnobotanical Remains." These papers are based on his dissertation research. Marston will be finishing his PhD in Spring 2010 and graduating from the Archaeology Program.
