The Fayum Field School, which is part of the ongoing archaeological research project co-directed by Willeke Wendrich (Associate Professor of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures) and Dr. RenĂ© T. J. Cappers, is featured on the UCLA Today Web site, highlighting the fact that the project is the first official field school for U.S. undergraduates. The project, which is part of the UCLA Archaeology Field Program, works closely with Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities.
