Ioanna Kakoulli, Assistant Professor of Materials Science & Engineering and Conservation, was one of three UCLA faculty members invited to participate in a US State Department Delegation in Cyprus in late February to celebrate the signing of the first bilateral science and engineering agreement between the US and Cyprus.

The agreement, which was signed Feb. 5, is part of the Obama administration’s initiative to encourage research cooperation with developing countries.
