2011 field research grants

The Cotsen Institute of Archaeology announces the availability of field research grants for 2011.

Grants in an amount up to $5000 will be awarded for preliminary research work on a field project which is done before applying for large financial support from non-UCLA sources. Archaeology faculty employed by UCLA continuously for the last 12 months or more, emeriti faculty, professional researchers and staff research associates employed by the Cotsen Institute are eligible to apply.

To apply submit the following documents: (1) grant proposal between 2000 and 3000 words describing the goals of the project, its intellectual merits, and methods; (2) budget; (3) time schedule for the completion of the proposed research activities; (4) an updated c.v. including any previous Cotsen field research grants; (5) brief biographic data for other participants (if any); cover sheet with the name of the applicant, title of the project, and total amount requested.
