Several of the departments offer undergraduate majors with concentrations in archaeology. All offer the opportunity to continue with graduate work concentrating on archaeological topics. In addition, the Interdepartmental Graduate Program in Archaeology brings together interests and specialties represented by those academic units offering courses in archaeology, as well as other units offering courses that are related to topics in archaeology. Its primary purpose is to train scholars in archaeology for university-level teaching and research.
