Volunteer Opportunities The Cotsen Institute of Archaeology at UCLA supports a publication unit and several research laboratories on the UCLA campus. These provide specialized analysis of archaeological material. Examples of active laboratories include the identification and analysis of plant remains, bones form archaeological projects, stone tool analysis, and a center for the study of rock art. Volunteer opportunities, under the guidance of Institute faculty, provide an exploration into the world of archaeological science. Field opportunities are available to members who have gained recognition for their serious interest in archaeology.
